Pushed to desperation by her abusive boyfriend, the petite 21-year-old dialed for help.

“Without knowing, I called the wrong number – it was a number I thought was the correct one, but in reality [it] brought me more problems,” said Isaura García, a victim of domestic abuse.

When the undocumented Latina called the police in Los Angeles, she had no idea she’d be the one going to jail that night.

Anti-Bullying Stand of the Day: In a courageous move for the newspaper industry, Iowa’s Sioux City Journaldevoted the entirety of its Sunday front page to an editorial about a local gay teen who recently committed suicide. Kenneth Weishuhn, just 14, was “a kind-hearted, fun-loving teenage boy,” the editorial reads.

“This is not a failure of one group of kids, one school, one town, one county or one geographic area. Rather, it exposes a fundamental flaw in our society, one that has deep-seated roots. Until now, it has been too difficult, inconvenient — maybe even painful — to address. But we can’t keep looking away.”

I sent this e-mail to my homeowners association president when I saw the after effects and emotional break down of a family after a robbery. Everything you worked so hard for gone and never seen before. She called! i was so surprise she called, I wasn’t expecting it. I was just voicing a concern. She thanked me for caring.. which was the most shocking part of the conversation, how many people out there are just controlled by apathy in this world? What ever happened to caring for others and being concerned even when it is not in your interest at all?

This is what the e-mail says..

“Today I had just gotten home, getting out of the car, I heard screams, my neighbor down the street had been robbed. Just getting home with your two children , around elementary age, and seeing your home completely destroyed must be one of the most horrific experiences in life, something you’ve worked so hard to build, all gone. From what I heard they suffered a great loss, it wasn’t just the basic jewelry and electronic ransack, but a lot more. To imagine that could have happened to anyone, including me and my family while everyone is at work and school, gives you a sense of helplessness, that no matter what, there’s nothing you can do. Everything gone when you come back from a long day at work. The reason I’m sending this e-mail is that I was wondering is there anything we could do for this family? They seemed to not have any kind of homeowners insurance, maybe some kind of fundraiser or donation. And is there anything, I personally could do to help the neighborhood?”

Joseph Kony considers himself as a good Christian.
He abducts kids, little girls go in prostitution, little boys become kid soldiers and are forced to do horrible things, things a kid isn’t supposed to do. Neither is an adult, no one is. He started the LRA, Lord’s Resistance Army. 20.000 kids have been kidnapped, this needs to stop. And that’s why we need to Make Kony Famous. Let the world know about the horrible things he does, and the thousands of children and parents suffering.

So come together, at the April the 20th. That is the day, we will cover the night. People in all kind of cities, all over the world meet at sundown & cover the city with posters and stickers of Joseph Kony. To Make Kony Famous. If you want to help these kids and parents, cover the night at 4/20/2012.
